Sunrise

Hanging heavy in the morning light, the sun like a dull, red ball, as big as a lunar cheese wheel, slowly rose into the sky. Somewhere in this shimmering mass of air, between Hill’s End and “The Morning’s Glory” at Trentha Falls, a bunyip stirred.
